This 1060 Musha Shinogi Zukuri blade is customized to look like a battle worn katana. The blade is through hardened with no hamon for exceptional flexibility and durability. The 11 inch tsuka core is wrapped in brown cotton tsuka ito. The replaced rayskin is lacquered black, and the menuk are antique dragon menuki (by antique, 50 - 60 years old). The new tsuba is steel in a shura themed mokko shape.

The brass habaki is filed in a two finish design, the seppa are dark bronze plated copper, and the fuchi and kashira are steel Higo themed. The saya is wrapped in rattan in two areas to look like a repaired damaged saya (the saya was fine, design purposes only). Two tone red and black lacquer, and a new buffalo horn kojiri.

This is a great blade for someone who wants a heavy cutting piece, but doesn’t want to shell out the money for a Daimyo class blade. A premium sageo can be ordered for an additional cost, or I have a brownish copper colored sageo I can include for free.
