The “Moss covered” katana is a solid 28.5 inch 1095 Bushi blade with a subtle yet elegant koshirae theme. The tsuba, fuchi, and kashira are all vine themed, and the tsuka is wrapped in grey green colored silk tsuka ito over silver plated menuki. It was shortened a small amount to allow the knots to end on the right sides. The fuchi, kashira, shitodome, seppa, and habaki have also been plated, the fuchi and kashira have been blackened though. The 1095 blade has a notare pattern with several areas of hitatsuru, along with a few irregularities in the hamon. While irregular, they do not effect the quality or strength of the blade. This blade would be an excellent addition to anyone who cuts with their blades, or who collects them as well.

The maker of the silk does not make a matching sageo for some reason. For an extra $25 I can order another sageo, a light brown may make a good balance with the color.
